There’s a new graffiti artist in town and people are already comparing to Banksy (whilst other people are claiming Banksy comparisons are inaccurate). He’s called PEN 1. He’s starting to crop up here and there but not much is known about him yet. The only thing you can really see about him on the internet at the moment is a stencil of Kate Moss that he did in Shoreditch, wearing a shirt and tie and holding a police sign citing ‘Model Behaviour’ as the reason for arrest.

This is being given as an indication of the subversive, satirical style that we the graffiterati are telling us we should be expecting from PEN1 (Public Enemy Number 1) in the future. It also provides testament to PEN1’s hitherto fabled excellence of technical skill, the detail of stencilling is astonishing – just look at that hair!

His logo is reminiscent of the Public Enemy (of Chuck D and Flava Flav fame) logo, and we can only guess that PEN 1 is going to deliver the same sort of anti-authoritarian socio-political commentary. For now though, PEN1 is a mystery, and we can only wait until he explodes.

PEN 1 – the biggest secret in street art right now
